Abstract
352,948. Folding chairs. RASTETTER, W. C., 2329, Hoaglund Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S.A. April 14, 1930, No. 11745. [Class 52 (ii).] In a folding chair of the kind including aback 3 with side frame members 1<1>, a seat 7 pivoted at 6 to the members 1<1>, front and rear legs 8, 9 pivoted at 12 to the seat frame, and a cross member 20 connecting the lower ends of the members 1<1> and being engageable with the back of the rear legs to hold it in operative position, the sides of the seat frame 4 are disposed respectively in planes between the corresponding front and rear legs 8, 9, links 25 are provided connecting the parts 8 and 1<1> disposed in planes therebetween, and other links 23 are provided connecting the cross member 20 with the rear legs 9 and disposed in planes between said rear legs. Arm-rests 17 may be provided, pivoted at 18 to the members 1<1> and to upward extensions 16 of the front legs 8.
