Abstract
352,743. Closures for collapsable tubes &c. KOVACS, T., 4, Kufsteinerstrasse, Berlin. July 16, 1930, No. 21530. [Class 125 (iii).] In a closure for collapsable tubes &c., of the kind in which an eccentric hole in the wall closing the outlet of the tube and an eccentric hole in the end of a cap are adapted to be brought into register, the cap being rotatable but located unslidably on the neck of the tube, the cap 10 is provided with two centring surfaces at 11 and at the edge of a flange 5 respectively. The flange 5 may be integral with the neck portion 1, or may be formed as part of a bell-shaped member 2, attached to the neck by lugs 6, and is preferably springy and of greater diameter than all neck parts located above it. The cap is held against axial movement by lugs 13 thereon bent under the flange 5, lugs 15 on the flange limiting the rotational movement. Preferably a packing disc 7, which may be of cork, waxed paper, celluloid, &c., is used which is bent downwardly at 8 so that metal to metal contact is avoided. Holes 17 may be provided in the cap to aid manipulation.
