[Class 25.] Draught, inducing. - An arrangement for the installation and removal of an axial flow induced-draught fan working in a funnel or the like comprises a vertical aperture 8 in the funnel wall and a lifting device within the funnel by means of which the fan can be introduced in a vertical position through the aperture, swung into a horizontal position and lowered into its working position. The lifting device comprises a bearer 4 passing across the funnel 1 and carrying a traversable stirrup and roller 5 and pulley tackle indicated at 6. The aperture 8 through which the fan 2 is introduced is of a minimum height greater than the sum of the diameter of the boss and the length of one blade of the fan and is adapted to be closed by a door 9 with a lower flap 10 giving access for oiling and the like.
