295,921. Breese, J. L. May 23, 1927. Divided on 295,758, [Class 126, Stoves &c.]. Draught, regulating.-A draught regulator for furnaces, stoves, and the like, consists of a pivoted damper plate D adapted to be applied to a pipe or duct A<1> and having means for varying the position of its pivotal axis circumferentially of the pipe. The pipe A<1> may be a stub-end pipe extending from the chimney pipe A of a stove or furnace. A split ring B is secured by a bolt B<2>, nut, and spacer B<4>, around the end of the pipe A<1> and a supporting ring C is mounted within such split ring. A transverse pin C<1> passes through lugs C<2> in the ring and is adapted to be moved in slots C<3> in the wall of the member A' or ring B. The damper plate D is pivoted to the ring C by means of a pin D<2>, and a counterweight D<3> is mounted at the end of an arm D<4> on such a plate. For varying the action of the counterweight and therefore the position of the damper plate on its axis D<2>, the ring C is rotated by means of the rod C<1>.
