Abstract
349,719. Thermionic valves. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Nolte, H. J.; 1710, Rugby Road, Schenectady, New York, U.S.A.) April 11, 1930, No. 11574. Convention date, April 17, 1929. [Class 39 (i).] The part of an electron discharge tube 1 adjacent the seals to the lead-in conductors 5 is immersed in an insulating liquid. As shown in the Figure, the whole of the upper part of the tube is immersed in oil in a container 6 which makes a fluidtight joint with a plate 7 which is supported by a flared member 10 seated on a flange 4 projecting from the tube. The conductors 5 pass through oiltight bushings 11. The anode 2 is surrounded by a water jacket 13.
