347,605. Lubricating internal - combustion engines. SOC. DES MOTEURS SALMSON, (formerly SOC. DES MOTEURS SALMSON (SYSTEME CANTONUNNE)), 68, Rue Pierre Charron, Paris. Jan. 28, 1930, No. 2917. Convention date, Feb. 15, 1929. [Class 12 (iii).] In means for driving the cam shaft, ignition apparatus, and other accessories of internalcombustion engines from a bevel gear 20 attached to the flywheel 11, oil is delivered through conduits 43, 44 to the engine bearings, and through a passage 45 to the hollow-driving shafts 22, 22a, from which it escapes at 46 into conduits 47 leading to the cam shafts 7 and valve gear. The oil then returns to the sump through passages 48, 49, 50 and 48a, 49a. A worm 13 mounted on the hub of the flywheel drives the oil-pump 16 through a shaft 15.
