Abstract
347,196. Display stands. WEBSTER, W. P., 198, Bethnal Green Road, Shoreditch, and HUTSON, F. A., 23, Nelson Road, South Chingford, both in London. Nov. 15, 1929, No. 34963. [Class 52 (v).] In collapsable card or like display stands of the type comprising a series of steps formed of a continuous strip 3 hinged at 4 to a back strip 1 and at 4<1> to a bottom strip 7, these strips also being hinged together at 4<11>, vertical strips 8 are attached flatly to the parts 6 of steps and to the strip 7. Side flaps 2 may be hinged to the back strip 1 and provided with tongues 11 which engage pockets 12 formed between the parts 6, 8, these flaps serving to hold the device rigid. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the effect of a stage and proscenium is produced by a front 13 having an aperture 15 and a hinged stage portion 16 which folds backwards and locks a rear collapsable rectangularly bent piece 14. Side flaps 17 are hinged to the front 13, and serve as supports for two sets of steps 171, 17<11>, arranged as shown or else rising upwardly and outwardly from the front 13.
