Abstract
346,561. Producing moire designs. MILHOMME, A., 614, Clinton Street, Hoboken, New Jersey, U.S.A. April 3, 1930, No. 10528. Convention date, April 13, 1929. [Class 42 (i).] Moire scratch patterns are produced in fabrics made from cellulose acetate fibres by moistening the fabric prior to scratching the pattern thereon. The fabric is saturated in a liquid bath or damped by spraying &c., folded transversely or longitudinally, and then passed between an embossed pattern roll and a scratching roll having flexible blades. The treated. fabric is dried and subsequently subjected to heat and pressure.
