Abstract

344,646. Hinges. ROWLEY, W. L., Allesley Street, Birmingham. Feb. 25, 1930, No. 6145. [Classes 65 (i) and 65 (ii).] A hinged joint for windows, casement stays, &c. comprises a plate 9 pivoted on a pin 5 rigidly attached to a plate 3 provided with a boss 4. A pressure plate 17 guided longitudinally on the pin 5 is adjusted by the nut 19. Annular friction washers 8, 16, are disposed between the rubbing surfaces which may be recessed to receive them. The nut 19 may be recessed to receive a spring washer.
