Abstract

517,158. Hinges. BEATON & SON, Ltd., G., and MELTZ, M. Aug. 25, 1938, No. 25006. [Class 65 (i)] A self-aligning hinge comprises pair of flaps 10, 20 and knuckles 11, 21 with a disc 15 between, provided in its upper and lower faces with two grooves 16, 17 at right angles to each other and adapted to engage projections 22, 14 on the knuckles or on intermediate discs 13 between them. The pin 12 fits the knuckles with clearance to permit of lateral movement of the knuckles, and is held down by a. spring 19 abutting on a washer 24 fixed on the pin by a nut 23.
