Abstract
344,634. Buckles, lever fasteners, &c. WALKER, Ltd., T. and WALKER, G. T., Birmingham Buckle Works, St. Paul's Square, Birmingham. Feb. 18, 1930, No. 5355. [Class 43.] A tab, band, or the like is secured to a brace-slide, lever-fastener or like fitting by a plate or bar which is held in place by tongues or lugs provided at opposite edges of the fitting or at opposite edges of an extension thereof and bent over the opposite ends or edges of the bar or plate, so that the tab or band is clamped between the bar or plate and the fitting or extension thereof. A brace-slide comprises a metal frame 2 having a cross-bar 3, set-back prongs 4 for the attachment of the returned end of the webbing and an extension 5 having lugs 7. A tab 1 is placed between a clamping plate 8 having recesses 9 to receive the lugs 7 and the extension 5, and secured in position by bending down the lugs. The inner face of the bar 8 or the opposed face of the fitting may have a number of projections or teeth 11 adapted to penetrate the material.
