Abstract

464,417. Wristlet - band fasteners. EUSTANCE, E. B. Oct. 17, 1935, No. 28692. [Class 43] [Also in Group XXV] - A fastener for wristlet bands and the like comprises interfitting transversely crimped or corrugated plates 4, 5, for attachment to the respective ends of the band, and means for looking one plate to the other in various positions of adjustment. The outer end of plate 5 is reduced in width and bent to form an upstanding U-shaped spring tongue 9. The outer extremity of the other plate is formed with an eye 7, having a lateral extension 8 to permit passage of the tongue 9, whilst in the base (as viewed from the outside) of each corrugation, is a slot 6. To secure the bracelet, the tongue 9 is passed through the eye, and the plate 4 made to overlie the plate 5 to the necessary extent, the tongue 9 being engaged in one of the slots 6. The meeting portions of the band may be provided with pockets which cover the rear ends of the plates, each pocket also serving to receive the front end of the opposite plate.
