Abstract

344,271. Brackets. GARBS, R., 1456, West Station Street, Kankakee, Illinois, U.S.A. April 22, 1930, No. 12404. Convention date, May 7, 1929. [Class 52 (v).] A bracket for supporting a lamp &c. comprises a rubber suction cup 10 carrying a pivoted clamp consisting of a pair of jaws 12 tightened upon the lamp &c. by a bolt 25. In the construction shown the cup 10 has an apertured projection 11 which passes through a slot in a plate 14 formed with upstanding aperture lugs 19 which abut against the ends of the projection 11. The clamping jaws 12 pivot on a bolt 16 passed through the end of the jaws, the lugs 19 and the projection 11. The abutting faces of the jaws and lugs are serrated. The lugs 19 may be pressed up from the plate 14 or formed as separate members riveted thereto.
