343,401. Two-stroke engines ; piston pumps. KRUPP GERMANIAWERFT AKT.-GES., F., Kiel-Gaarden, Germany. May 15, 1930, No. 14967. Convention date, May 25, 1929. [Class 7 (ii).] In a vertical multi-cylinder engine, double-acting air pumps H are disposed between and project into the space separating pairs of working cylinders A. The plungers of two pumps are driven off the crosshead E of the working piston which is disposed between the pumps, either by a single tee-shaped member P or by two rods. The suction and delivery valves M<1>, M<2> and N<1>, N<2> are at the sides of the pumps.
