Abstract
340,511. Bottle-stoppers. DADE, W. C., 114, Griffin Road, Plumstead, London. Aug. 31, 1929, No. 26536. [Class 125 (iii).] A stopper for bottles &c. of the type having a spring- pressed valve for relieving internal pressure, comprises a two-part casing L, K, the part K retaining the valve components and the part L providing an aperture for co-operation with the valve G. The valve G is carried on a spindle H which is slidably mounted in a tube F. A spring E between the valve and the tube normally retains the valve in its seating. Apertures C in the tube F provide a path for escaping gases. The tube F is closed at its lower end by a plate D. The spring E is retained under partial compression by a nut B on the end of the spindle. The parts K, L, may be secured by a locking-ring J. The stopper may be provided with a chain &c. to secure it to a bottle.
