Abstract

339,842. Giles, E. C. Jan. 21, 1930. Sliding bolts of the kind operated by a lever have a transverse slot c in the bolt a housing a helical spring g, inserted through an opening closed by a screw &c. plug h, and bearing against a cross-pin f carried by the lever d and engaged in the slot. The bolt is mounted at the back of a plate b with a recessed face e in which the lever lies flush in each of its extreme positions, the lever being pivoted to the plate at i, and held in its extreme positions by the spring g.
