Latches, sliding.-A plate 9 is mounted to rotate on the latch-bolt 2, or an extension 2<a> thereof, and is moved in front of a web 11 on the casing 1 to lock the bolt when shot.. The plate 9 has lugs 12, 13 engaged by a key 10, and recesses engaged by a projection 17 on the bolt. The bolt 2 has a roller 4 at the latch end.
