Abstract
337,825. Power-Gas Corporation, Ltd., and Rambush, N. E. Aug. 9, 1929. Producer-gas plant. - Gas generating plant comprises a generator or producer, a waste heat boiler, a generator jacket boiler, and a tubular superheater, and when used for making water gas, two sets are used, which are alternately on " run " and " blow." The hot gases are cooled to a limited extent only in the waste heat boiler through which they pass in a downward direction. The generator 1 with a water cooled top 2, and water jacket 5, has a gas outlet leading to a waste heat boiler 6 connected by tubes 9, 10 two the jacket 5. The gases cooled to 200-300‹ C., in the boiler are then further cooled in a tubular pre-heater 7, the hot gases flowing through the tubes and being finally cooled in a washer 8. Air and steam enter the superheater by a pipe 11, and pass by a pipe 12 to the grate of the producer. The superheater may be arranged below the boiler. Specification 290,070 is referred to,
