Abstract
336,099. Clements, J. Oct. 11, 1929. Firebars have a vertical web 11, preferably formed with a double level at the top, and an upper fuel-supporting portion divided into a number of small platforms 14 by transverse air passages 12, 13 substantially V-shaped in plan. The passages may have straight or curved sides, and may be wider at the sides than at the centre. The openings may be vertical or inclined from front to rear. The ends 11<a>, 11<b> are wider than the platforms 14 so that longitudinal air spaces are left between adjacent bars. Spacing projections 18 may be cast with one or more of the platforms. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1622/93, 5115/93, 9727/94, and 320,776.
