336,048. Hansell, J. B., and Associated Electrical Industries, Ltd. Aug. 20, 1929. Transformers. -A transformer having main windings 2, 3 is provided with an auxiliary winding 4 for voltage measurement &c. divided into a plurality of coils or tapped sections 5 located at different points on the core so as to be differently affected by leakage flux leads being brought out from each coil or section in order that a winding having a suitable characteristic may be selected for connection to the instrument terminals alter the transformer construction has been otherwise completed. An alternative location for the auxiliary winding is indicated at 6. Further, the auxiliary winding may be of pancake form and located as indicated at 7.
