Abstract
529,829. Transformers. CHAMBERLAIN & HOOKHAM, Ltd., and JAMES, S. June 9, 1939, No. 16912. [Class 38 (ii)] A transformer assembly for testing polyphase meters comprises two or more single - phase transformers a each comprising a straight conductor primary and a secondary wound on an annular core and connected to terminals i, h arranged on the top of the case f in which the transformers are mounted. The terminals i are normally connected by removable bars m to other terminals k to enable a standard meter to be connected in series with the meter under test. In a modification, an additional secondary winding is provided on each transformer and connected to normally short-circuited terminals whereby a standard meter may be brought into use. Terminals p, q connected respectively to the primary conductors and the neutral conductor of the supply system are provided on the case for connection to the voltage coils of the meter.
