Cam-actuated pumps; stroke, varying; oscillating and revolving- cylinder pumps. -A lubricator comprises an oscillating or rotating block a provided with a number of bores b in which plungers o are reciprocated by engagement with fixed cam stops i in the end plate g of the casing f. Balls r are arranged between the plungers and cams in extensions of the cylinders, and the cams may be adjusted to vary the plunger strokes. The block a is pressed by a spring n against a valve plate provided with inlet passages k and delivery ducts m. The arrangement of the balls r in the cylinders prevents lateral thrust from being transmitted to the plungers.
