Abstract
333,842. Breisig, A. Dec. 3, 1928, [Convention date]. Producers. - Part of the, waste blast gases leaving a water gas generator 1 pass to a steamsuperheating regenerator 6 which is situated below a vaporizer 7, and the remainder pass to regenerator 8 connected to a waste heat boiler 10. During the run, the regenerator 8 is swept over by a carrying gas, which may be a part of the water gas produced, to supply the stored heat to the boiler, the latter thus being heated both during blasting and steaming. The boiler may surround the combustion chamber of the generator. In a modification in which two generators are used, each is connected to a regenerator for the. production and superheating of the steam, and from these regenerators ducts lead to a single regenerator which supplies surplus heat to a boiler.
