Abstract

333,230. Enderby, G. H. May 7, 1929. Spray carburettors.-A suction-actuated choke throttle B, carrying a fuel needle valve 1 is mechanically connected to and operated by the main throttle lever T in the full-open position of the throttle valve E. The suction acts through passages G, D on a plunger C, the opposite side of which is connected to atmosphere by a passage H. The throttle control rod a engages the lever T through a spring, which enables further movement of the rod a to rotate a shaft b and cause an arm P to lift the throttle B. In a modification in which the main throttle is a sleeve valve surrounding the throttle B, a projection on the sleeve directly engages the throttle when fully open.
