Diplex signalling; television apparatus.- Audible signals are transmitted on one side and visible signals are transmitted on the other side of the same high frequency wave. The Figure shows a transmitter in which modulating valves 3, 4, are biassed to transmit the bottom and top halves respectively of a. carrier from a source 1, the modulating voltages being applied by coils 8, 10. The receiver (Fig. 3, not shown), comprises two detecting valves biassed to be responsive to the top and bottom halves of the received carrier respectively.
