325,053. Bristol Pneumatic Tools, Ltd., and Bateman, C. Dec. 18, 1928. Couplings, disconnectible ; stuffing-box joints.- In a tyre-pump connector in which a rubber ring 3 is compressed axially to grip the valve nipple by rotation of a cam 6, the cam axle is mounted in slots so that the cam moves parallel, to its axis and takes a bearing on an end cap 5a when rotated by its handle 6<c>. Flats are provided to hold the cam in its operative and inoperative positions and it acts through a pistonlike member 4 which has a hose nozzle 8 and a vaive releasing pin 7.
