Abstract
322,219. Freiberger, M., and Ges. f³r Textilveredelung Getevau. Aug. 30, 1928. Winch machines. - A web of fabric lightly tensioned at a is washed in a shallow trough of small liquid capacity, passing helically round the guide rollers C, D with only slight submergence of the lower runs of the fabric as it passes through successive compartments formed by partitions S through which the liquid flows alternately in opposite directions. In the construction shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the guide rollers C, D are not submerged and are not driven; but roller C may be partially submerged and both rollers may be driven from the squeezing rolls B, A. The rollers C, D may also be vertically adjustable by screw means controlled by a hand wheel. Fig. 2 shows the partitions S gapped at alternate ends so that the water in its course from E to. F travels alternately against and with the lower runs of the fabric, the final washing being effected in clean water.
