Abstract
315,131. Stevenson, A. H. Aug. 27, 1928. Cases made from special blanks.- A collapsable case or container is made from a series of blanks each cut and scored so that the resulting corner flaps can be bent inwardly about a rectangle, certain of the flaps being used to secure the blanks to gether and the others forming the end closing flaps or sides of the case. As shown, four blanks are used to make a rectangular case, the blanks being rectangular and scored along the lines 8 to form the corner flaps a - - d and rectangular sides 4 - - 7. The flaps b, d are stapled to the adjacent blanks to form the collapsable body of the case, and the flaps a, c when bent inwards form the ends of the case; the flaps a, c may be secured together by adhesive strips applied over the joints or they may be stuck to a loose internal cover sheet. The blanks are preferably of corrugated fibre board scored obliquely to the lines of corrugations.
