Abstract

314,886. Baron, J. T., and Clarke, J. B. March 30, 1928. Smoke, and fumes, treating with steam.-Dust &c. is separated from flue gases by several steam spraying devices 7 disposed within the duct flue or chimney through which the gases travel, and arranged to direct the steam at right angles to the flow of the gases. The side of the flue is fitted with louvres 11 behind which is a dust-collecting chamber 6.
