Abstract

312,536. Warmisham, A., and Kapella, Ltd. July 14, 1928. Lenses. - Objectives for photographic and like purposes of the kind comprising four separated simple components, the two inner ones being divergent and the two outer ones convergent have the front component of medium barium crown and the back component of heavy barium crown. The divergent components are of light flint with a refractive index 0.02 less than that of the front component, and the air spaces are between 1.4 per cent and 1.8 per cent of the equivalent focal length of the objective. The seventh radius is between 50 per cent and 70 per cent stronger than the second radius, the difference between the second and third curvatures being substantially equal to that between the sixth and seventh curvatures.
