Abstract
312,408. Reed, F. W., and Craven Bros. (Manchester), Ltd. March 1, 1928. Revolving-cylinder pumps; stroke, varying.- In apparatus for the hydraulic transmission of power, having means for varying the stroke of a revolving-cylinder pump, an eccentric sleeve a is mounted in an eccentric bush b, the latter having secured to it a segment c carrying a shaft e on which are pinions f, h meshing with a fixed wheel g and with a pinion i on the sleeve a. When the segment c is turned by a hand-wheel j or other means, the sleeve a and bush bare turned equally in opposite directions. The distributing valve of both pump and motor comprises a renewable fixed bush x. The cylinders are offset, and roller bearings are provided at opposite ends of the cylinder unit.
