Abstract

309,194. I. G. rarbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. April 7,1928, [Convention date]. Yarns, treating with liquids. - White or coloured matt effects are produced upon yarns or fabrics composed of esters of cellulose or its transformation products by printing thereon a paste or thickened solution containing urea or a derivative thereof and a thickening agent, drying, steaming, washing out the thickening agent, and again drying. The following examples are specified. (1) A white matt effect on a glossy ground is obtained by printing a white fabric with an aqueous paste containing urea and tragacanth thickening, drying, steaming, washing, and drying. (2) A coloured matt effect on a glossy ground is similarly obtained by incorporating in the printing paste a basic or other dyestuff suitable for acetate silk. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the similar production of matt effects upon cellulose ether materials. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
