Abstract
307,333. Hrdina, R. Dec. 15, 1928. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, March 6, 1929]. Pile-fabric looms for terry weaving. The effective length of the crank or connecting rod 6 is varied, so as to give either a full or a partial beat up, by forming a slot 8 in one end to receive a pivot pin 5 secured to apertured members 3, 4 on a part 2 on the lay sword 1. By means of a yoke 16 and cord &c. a spring-controlled latch 11 pivoted on a bolt 10 adjustably fixed to the rod 6 is moved, so that either a lower recess 12 engages the pin 5, as shown in Fig. 1, or an upper recess 13 engages an auxiliary journal secured to the part 2, as shown in Fig. 3, a partial or a full beat up resulting accordingly.
