Abstract
297,535. Rosari¾, M. July 14, 1927. Weft inserters not carrying bobbins &c., looms with.-In looms of the kind in which weft from a stationary bobbin arranged at one side of the lay is inserted in loop form by a " shuttle " having two openings M, Fig. 4, for the passage of the weft, the lay is provided at the end opposite the weft supply with a rocking member J, Fig. 1, which is raised when the shuttle has moved to the left, and is lowered when the shuttle again returns to the right. The member J thus holds the loop of weft until the beat-up. The member J passes through a slot in a rod E connected at its ends to slides K<1>, K<2> arranged in the shuttle boxes and adapted to be engaged by the shuttle. After a double shot of weft has been beaten up, the weft loop projecting at the edge of the fabric is turned into the shed by a device mounted on the temple and is secured at the next change of shed.
