Abstract

303,974. Gradewell Last Co., Ltd., and Lack. H. Nov. 25, 1927. Lasts.-A two-part hinged last of the kind comprising a solid forepart and a solid non-detachable heel part hingedly connected by a longitudinal plate rigidly fixed in one part and pivoted in the other, is furnished with locking means operative in a direction at right angles to the hinge plate so as to lock the last parts in the extended position by engagement with the side of the plate. The hinge plate 1 may be formed with a recess 5 co-operating with a ball 6 backed by a spring 9. Locking means may be provided on both sides of the hinge plate. A buffer 11 of sponge rubber may be provided.
