Driving arrangements for paddle-wheels. - A water cycle comprises a pair of floats 1 arranged parallel to one another and braced or stayed to a cycle, motor cycle or like frame 4 disposed between them, and a pair of paddle wheels 12, with water guards or shields 13, arranged between the floats 1 and the cycle &c. frame 4, the paddle wheels 12 being rotated by means of pedals 18 and chain gearing 14, 15, 16. A rudder 24, or rudders situated at the front or rear of the cycle &c. frame 4 are adapted to be actuated through the movement of the handle bar, and footboards 19 are fitted between the floats and in front of the paddle wheels. In one form, a lever 22 on the stem of the rudder is connected by crossed rods 21 to the front fork 20 of the frame. In a modification, the lever 22 is connected by a link and a bar to a pair of rudders.
