Abstract

184,420. Mossop, W., and Cooper, J. D. Jan. 11, 1922. Propelling and steering water velocipedes.- Relates to means for propelling and steering water-craft of the kind comprising two parallel floats F connected by a frame B upon which is mounted a cycle-like framework C having a seat for the operator and handle bars, a propeller on an inclined shaft being driven by the feet of the operator from the bottom bracket of the bicyclelike frame. The invention consists in (a) attaching the rudder 15 directly to an extension of the handle bar standard, (b) driving the propeller shaft 13 by a bevel 9<a> gearing with a bevel 12 mounted on the bottom bracket.
