Abstract

298,890. Everedy Co., (Assignees of Lebherz, H. J.). Oct. 15, 1927, [Convention date]. Operating doors by springs; checks.-The check cylinder 7 is fitted with a tapered screwed plug 15 which engages a threaded aperture in a boss 11 of the cap 12 and is arranged coaxially with the cylinder, the plug being pivotally connected with the hinged door, the area of the discharge port constituted by the said plug being varied by suitably turning the check cylinder. The rod 6 of the check piston 8 is pivotally mounted in a bracket 4 secured to the jamb 2, and a door closing spring 7a is mounted on the bracket to engage the piston rod. The plug 15 is pivotally connected to a bracket 19 secured to the door 1.
