Check elastic valves.-A body resilient in one direction and particularly adapted for use as an elastic valve or as a spring comprises a cylinder with two or more parallel slits 2, 3, connecting stems 7, 8 being arranged in the slits in such a manner that every stem is situated substantially in the plane of symmetry of the two adjacent stems in the following slit.
