Abstract
290,776. Rice, J. H. March 14, 1927. Treating with air.--Cereals to be dried are fed through a hopper 20 and traverse over a series of troughs 9 to a discharge conveyer 26 in countercurrent to hot gases flowing from a furnace 3 to a flue 23 by scoops 14 carried by drums rotating in an anticlockwise direction so that portions of the material are separated from the bulk and showered through the gases.
