Spray carburettors. - In a process for forming the charge for the cylinders of an internal-combustion engine in which a mixture of air and exhaust gas is added to the mixture flowing from the carburettor, a fan 98 supplies air past a valve 94 to the carburettor 66 which has a slow-running nozzle adjacent the throttle valve 64. When the throttle valve 64 is almost closed, valves 92, 94 are respectively opened and closed and heated air is drawn through a pipe 80 which has a portion surrounding the exhaust pipe.
