Abstract

280,648. Burges, R. Aug. 20, 1926. Bung or disc extractors.-A device for removing thin discs, stoppers, &c. from bottles, jars, cartons, &c., comprises a cork screw-like volute spiral a of pointed iron or steel wire, in which the distance between the turns of the spiral decreases as the distance from the point increases so that the last turns a<2>, a<3> provide only a narrow gap a' in which the card disc &c. is firmly held when the device is in use. The handle may comprise a loop b held by a clip c or may be of wood &c.
