Abstract

259,040. Davidge, H. T. Oct. 16, 1925. Modified for removing stoppers.-A bottle, which is intended to be stoppered by an angular-headed stopper, is recessed as at 1, or 3, Fig. 1, to receive the head 2, Fig. 2, of a second angular-headed stopper and act as a spanner or key therefor to remove it from its place in a companion bottle. The stopper may have a corrugated or milled edge or it may have a smooth circular edge and be formed with a diametrical or an eccentric recess, the bottle recess being correspondingly shaped. As shown in Fig. 11, the recess 12 is larger than the " crown " stopper and is formed with a projecting flange 22 adapted to engage the stopper to lever it off the bottle.
