Abstract

280,447. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. Aug. 11, 1926. Addition to 236,972. Manures.-In the process for preparing a fertilizer as described in the parent Specification by mixing ammonium nitrate with di-ammonium phosphate, with or without a potassium or calcium salt or other fertilizing nitrogen compound, a hot solution of ammonium nitrate containing a potassium or calcium salt is solidified by cooling or spraying and the product is mixed with solid di-ammonium phosphate. Hot concentrated solutions of di-ammonium phosphate can be used instead of the solid salt in the preparation of the fertilizers described in the parent Specification. The ingredients are preferably used in such proportions that the product contains to one part of nitrogen, from 0.7 to 2 parts of P2O5 and from 1 to 5 parts of K2O.
