Abstract
279,281. Derossi, C. Jan. 7, 1927. Forcing gas into liquid. - Automatic apparatus for the production of aerated water comprises a water vessel and one or more distinct aerators, the gas being injected simultaneously into the water vessel and aerators, means being provided for shutting out one or more aerators so that aerated water can be drawn either from the water vessel or from the bottom of the aerator. As shown, a water vessel 2 and aerator 3 are both supplied with gas through a perforated ring in the bottom of the vessel 2 and a perforated tube 4 in the aerator 3. The perforated ring is connected with the gas supply by a tube 7 located behind the gas cock 6. The aerator is filled with glass balls and is provided with a wire gauze or perforated sheet-metal filter 9, cocks 10 being employed for bottling or counter use. The water vessel is provided with plugs 10<1> which may be opened and the cocks 10 inserted when aerated water is to be drawn from the vessel 2, a plug 13 being used to close the connection to the aerator 3.
