Abstract

376,842. Aerating liquids. GERBER, G., 25, Rue des Chavannes, Neuchatel, Switzerland. Dec. 14, 1931, No. 7834. [Class 14 (i).] Apparatus of the siphon bottle type is adapted for the aerating operation. It comprises a pressure vessel 4 containing the liquid to be aerated and a lower compartment 5 containing an electric heater 6. A gas inlet 14 leads to a submerged nozzle 15 which is surrounded by a flared pipe 19 having apertures at 17, 20, so that liquid is drawn through the apertures and mixed with the gas. The vessel 4 is filled through a handhole 8 fitted with a cover 7. The apparatus discharges by way of a siphon tube 10, threeway cock 9, and tap 11. A pressure gauge may be connected to the branch 13.
