Abstract
278,220. Steven, J. May 2, 1927. Ventilators for cow sheds comprise a box-shaped member d having perforated walls, and a baffle plate c, disposed within the member d, and spaced from the inner end of the inlet hole a arranged in the wall b of the shed. The baffle plate is secured by bolts or rivets to a flange on a pipe fitting the inlet hole a. The member d may have a word frame and the walls are made of gauze, perforated galvanized iron &c., and the stop d<1> may be unperforated and hinged in posi. tion. Straw &c. may be arranged inside the box d. A few small holes may be provided in the plate e. Instead of the box d, a recess may be provided in the wall, a perforated front being fitted to the recess. The ventilators are fitted at the height of the nostrils of a cow.
