Abstract

276,501. Blank, E. Aug. 26, 1926. Capsules. - A wrapper of paper, cardboard, wood, &c. for packing in dosed quantities pharmaceutical preparations, bandages, and medicaments, after being completely closed, is coated with one or more layers of cellulose esters or derivatives of cellulose, produced by dipping. A suitable solution is produced by dissolving 100 parts of nitrocellulose in 1000 parts of ether-alcohol, dissolving 10 parts of celluloid in 1000 parts of acetone or acetonic solvent, and mixing 1000 parts of the former with 100 parts of the latter. Castor oil may be added as a softening agent.
