Moulds for type-bar-making machines.-Relates to moulds in which the cap and body portions are each formed with a separate hardened inner section, in order to avoid the adherence of molten metal and to resist wear. The inner section B', Fig. 4, of the cap portion is provided with threaded bosses or projections B<4>, to receive the clamping-screws B<3>, Fig. 1, and the outer section B<2> is formed with recesses to accommodate the bosses. Instead of separate bosses on the section B', a continuous tongue may be used. The body portion of the mould may be similarly formed.
