Abstract

275,829. Brewer, J. L. P. F. Oct. 29, 1926. Caravans; folding vehicles. - A trailer which can be used as a caravan is adapted to be collapsed vertically so that the collapsed height is substantially that of an ordinary touring car. As shown, the trailer comprises two portions A. D the upper part D of which is adapted to telescope over the lower portion and is adapted to be raised and lowered by means of cables H passing over pulleys J, K and a shaft F rotatable by a handle. Means are provided for locking the upper part D in both its raised and lowered positions. Legs S are provided to support the trailer when detached from the touring vehicle.
